Poverty
is about more than money
ATD Fourth World
acknowledges poverty as a multi-dimensional
problem, affecting many areas
of people's lives – from
health to housing, education to
employment. This is why we work
with policy makers to ensure they
understand the need to tackle
poverty holistically.

People living
in poverty are the experts
Spaces need to be
created where policy makers can
be informed by the experience
and knowledge of those who live
poverty daily. We offer people
experiencing poverty the opportunity
to express their views and offer
solutions to issues affecting
their lives.

Defending
children's
and parent's rights
Many children from
a background of poverty end up
in care due to a lack of support
for the family. We aim to influence
children and family social work
by making policy recommendations
and training social workers to
deal with poverty.
